Elizabeth Craft Designs Designers' Challenge -
You Fill My Heart

CLICK HERE for the SUPPLY LIST.

For this month's challenge the theme is "You Fill My Heart" and in her latest release by Elizabeth Craft Designs, Becky Seddon has 2 amazing large heart dies. I used the Love Struck die along with glitter and a fun wobbler to create a motion sensitive Valentine. In addition to the detail created by the dies, the "Be Mine" circle with arrow shakes as if struck by Cupid.

Here’s how I made the card:

1. Peel the backing off of part of a 5" x 12" Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet and press a piece of 85 lb. White Soft Finish Cardstock large enough to fit the smaller heart in the Love Struck die set, texture side down on to the adhesive. Trim around the cardstock to free it from the larger Adhesive Sheet. Die cut the smaller heart from the Love Struck die set out of this piece of now adhesive cardstock so the adhesive side will face up once the heart is die cut out.

Peel back part of the adhesive backing on the heart and cover with Silverado Silk Microfine Glitter. Tap off any excess and rub the glitter on the heart with your finger to bring out the shine. Remove the rest of the backing sheet and cover the remaining portion of the heart with Silverado glitter and also rub to bring out the shine.

2. Cut the ‘Be Mine’ sentiment from the Love Sentiments Clear Stamps into two separate words. Arrange vertically on an acrylic block and stamp onto a piece of red cardstock using embossable ink; I used Versamark. Cover with white embossing powder and heat set. Die cut out the sentiment using the second smallest circle in the Stitched Circles die set.

Step 2

3. Create a 5“ x 5 ½” card base by trimming a piece of 100 lb. White Soft Finish Cardstock to 5” x 11” and folding in half. Cut a piece of the red cupid patterned paper from the ModaScrap 12” x 12” Simply Love paper pack to 5” x 5 1/2”. Die cut the large lacy heart in the Love Struck die set out of 85 lb. White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the arrow pieces from the Love Struck die set out of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut 2 of the simple heart edges in the Valentine Edges die set out of 85 lb. White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut away from the cardstock at the ends and then trim off along the dotted line, making sure to cut a straight edge with no bumps from the perforations.

4. Adhere the red cupid patterned paper to the front of the card base with 10 mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Adhere the lacy heart to the cener of the card front also using 10 mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Use a fine point liquid glue to add glue to the backs of the Valentine Edges pieces and adhere above and below the heart on the card front making sure to get the heart border right along the edge of the card so no red shows. Trim off any excess that overhangs the edges of the card base. Use 10 mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape to adhere the glittered heart into the center of the large lacy heart. Run a piece of 3 mm Clear Double Sided Adhesve Tape diagonally across the back of the sentiment circle from upper left to lower right. Press the arrow tail on to the tape on the back of the sentiment circle sticking out from the upper left, following the diagonal line of the tape. Repeat with the arrow head on the lower right of the sentiment circle. Remove the adhesive backing off of one side of a Mini Action Wobbler and press into the center back of the sentiment circle. Remove the adhesive backing off the remaining side of the Mini Action Wobbler and press the sentiment circle with arrows into the center of the heart on the card front. Flick the sentiment to make sure the wobbler works. Enjoy!
